Bike ride

Go by bus from Jondal to Folgefonna, where you will meet your guide. After safety instructions you start your journey from 1200 metres above sea level down to zero metres at the Hardangerfjord. The view from the road is fantastic; you can actually see the fjord from the start of the trip. during the ride you will see how the landscape changes from alpine mountain terrain to glacier- and riverform valleys and finally river mouth terraces at the seaside. You will also have a closer look at traditional farming areas of Hardanger. During the decent you will have a few stops where you can enjoy historical tails and scientific views on the landscape you explore.
Capacity: 15 pax/group (if you bring your own bike we have no limitation)
Duration: 2-3 hrs
Season: May 15th-August 20th (depending on snow conditions)
Equipment: Clothing after the weather, sun glasses, sun lotion, bicycle and helmet (the 2 latter can be hired)
