About us

Cruise Destination Hardangerfjord is a network of the Hardangerfjord ports and shorex destinations. It is mainly a marketing and product development setup.
The main task is to improve existing offers to the cruise industry, both on port facilities and tours in the region. Also, new tours will be developed, bearing the principles of sustainable tourism and geotourism in mind.
In order to get to know the demands and trends in the market, a market research has been carried through during the summer season 2008. Based on the results from surveys among passengers, crews and cruise companies we will put together market oriented shore excursions. This will be done in close cooperation with the shorex managers and the ships agencies here in Norway.

Not only ships calling at Hardangerfjord ports will be our target. Excursions to Hardanger from ships berthed in Bergen (70 kms away) also have proven very successful.
